Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Linda Cullen

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.

We are hopping with a special guest - The very creative Linda Cullen from the United States of America.

The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Linda's cards.

Here is the card of Linda's that I chose to CASE:

I had a great card idea come to mind when I saw Linda's card layout, and I wanted to give some love to a returning stamp set in the new Annual Catalogue: Dragonfly Dreams.

With this idea and stamp set in mind, I went searching for a colour challenge to help me decide which colours I should use.

Now I wanted a bee & honeycomb on my card so needed a challenge with yellow. And this weeks ColourInkspiration #36 challenge was perfect (if not a little tricky with the greys, but I think I made it work).

The colours in the challenge were Crushed Curry, Soft Suede, Basic Gray & Silver Foil.

Crazily I don't have any Silver Foil, so to add silver to my project I have used some Metallic Thread and Silver Emboss Powder.

Here is my version:

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

  8. Sometimes a ribbon just won't do. You give me inspiration with your band cut from the honeycomb. It's genius.

    1. Thanks so much MarvAlix :) You are right, ribbon doesn't suit all cards and this was a fun way to add a little something to the card without using ribbon.
