Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: Christmas

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by our Christmas theme. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.

I really love punch art, but don't get to create it very often so for today's project I created a punch art Poinsettia.

(Well.... if you want to get technical it isn't actually punch art, it is more diecut art as I used framelits instead of a punch).

I created my Poinsettia before I even had a design idea for my card. And I was having some trouble deciding on a card layout, that was until I found the latest Sunday Stamps #192 Sketch Challenge and my indecision was over :)

*************************************

My colour palette consists of Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Real Red & Very Vanilla + some wood textures.

I have used the Nature's Roots framelits to create my Poinsettia. I started by using the small leaf embossing die and then cut it out using the co-ordinating small leaf framelit. Real Red for the flower petals and Garden Green for the leaves. The pieces were glued together using some Multipurpose Liquid Glue on to a scrap cardstock circle I had lying around.

The centre of the flower was created with some large 5mm Basic Pearls coloured with my Dark Daffodil Delight Blends marker.

The strip behind the flower is a piece of wood grain designer series paper from the Wood Textures pack.

My sentiment comes from the Wishing You Well stamp set and is stamped in Garden Green ink on a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock. The end was finished off using the Triple Banner Punch.

Thank you so much for joining us today. We hope you'll join us again next month to see our projects inspired by the upcoming Sale-A-Bration & Ocassions Catalogues.

Don't forget to continue the hop all the way around to see what the amazing Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team have come up with.

Online Extravaganza Sale | 23 - 28 November 2018

SIX DAYS. THREE SALES. ONE SPECTACULAR PROMOTION!

For savvy shoppers everywhere, this time of year is a dream come true. Some of the biggest sales of the year are happening, which means some of the biggest savings are, too! I hope you are ready to save big, because Stampin' Up! are throwing a spectacular six-day promotion with exclusive, limited-time deals. Get ready for Online Extravaganza!

Online Extravaganza will run for six days. During this time, Stampin' Up! will be having three, 48-hour sales featuring a selection of products from the 2018–2019 annual catalogue—all at 10% off!

Each 48-hour sale will feature two product categories (e.g., paper, stamps, ink, etc.). When one sale ends, the next sale begins; this cycle will continue until Online Extravaganza is over.

By the end, nearly every item from the annual catalogue will have been on sale!

So write up your shopping list now ready for the start of each sale.

Make sure you don't wait, as item quantities are limited and if stocks at the sale price are depleted before the end of the 48hr sale, the item will be unavailable to purchase at a discount (items will be available again shortly after the sale ends). Avoid disappointment and be ready early :)

Not every item will end up being on sale, as some exclusions apply. These include Host Sets, Big Shot, Stamparatus & Bundles, plus a few specific individual items.

Garden Impressions Suite | Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Challenge #018

Hi and thanks for visiting :)

Today marks the start of our latest fortnightly challenge over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group.

Our latest challenge #AWLSU018 is a CASE the Catty challenge. Where you Copy And Selectively Edit one of the below images.

Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to start off each challenge and hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity.

If you live in Australia and are interested in participating in our fortnightly challenges, click here to join the group :)

****************************************

I chose to CASE the top left "deck the halls" card. Even though the CASE images are Christmas themed, that doesn't mean you have to keep that theme. I went for something completely un-christmassy. Hope you like it :)

My colour combination of Mango Melody, Night of Navy, So Saffron & Very Vanilla came from the piece of Designer Series Paper I used.

All the items used in my card today, come from the Garden Impressions Suite and include the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set (for my sentiment), Springtime Impressions Thinlits (die cut butterfly) and the Garden Impressions 6x6 Designer Series Paper.

The stamp set and co-ordinating thinlits are available to purchase as a bundle at a 10% discount.

The cardbase is So Saffron and the die cut butterfly and banner piece use Mango Melody cardstock. My sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.

All the pieces were stuck together using some multipurpose liquid glue and once dry, adhered to my cardbase using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

This card was pretty quick and quite easy to put together and would suit anyone from a beginner cardmaker to a more advanced/veteran cardmaker. I hope you give it a try :)     #simplestamping
