Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects using the Outgoing In-Colours (2018-2020 In Colours). The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.
The layout of my card was inspired by the latest Try Stampin' On Tuesday's Mix Up Challenge #453. I have chosen the sketch part of this mix up challenge.
*********************************************************
As you can see I have taken the #TSOT453 sketch challenge literally :) I have pretty much re-created the sketch using the Daisy Lane Stamp Set (adding in a couple of extra flowers to make sure I got to include all the 2018-20 In Colours).
It is hard to believe that I have had the Daisy Lane stamp set for about 7 months and this is the first time I've inked it up. I don't understand why I waited so long, the subtle detail in the petals results in stunning and delicate looking flowers.
To make my card I stamped the small daisy image in Blueberry Bushel, Grapefruit Grove and Lovely Lipstick ink (twice for each flower) on some Whisper White cardstock, then punched them out using the Medium Daisy Punch.
For the flower centres, I partially stamped the same image using Pineapple Punch ink on some Whisper White cardstock scraps and then fussy cut around the centre.
I glued my flowers together using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue - 2 stamped Daisy images and then 1 fussy cut centre per flower.
I stamped the fern leaf image using Call Me Clover ink, directly onto my Whisper White Thick cardstock base. I then arranged my flowers and glued them down (leaving 2 aside, to stick on later once I've added my sentiment).
The sentiment comes from the Peaceful Moments stamp set and is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a Whisper White Stitched Circle (from the Stitched Shapes Dies). My sentiment was adhered to my card base using a little liquid glue and then my 2nd Grapefruit Grove Daisy was adhered on top. The 2nd Lovely Lipstick Daisy was added using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
To finish off my card, I added a couple of randomly placed Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick and Pineapple Punch.
