International Highlights Winners Blog Hop | Theme: Change of Life Circumstances

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special International Blog Hop for the winners of Kylie Bertucci's October International Blog Highlight. Our theme for this highlight was Change of Life Circumstances.

Anyone and everyone was able to vote for their favourite cards and based on the total votes received, the top 10 winners were announced and I came in 5th - YAY :) A big THANKYOU to all those who voted for my Baby Congratulations cards.

Click here to check out the cute Baby cards I entered, using the A Little Wild Bundle.

All 10 winners were invited to participate in this special International Highlight Blog Hop. Our theme for this hop is also Change of Life Circumstances. I have chosen to make another Baby Congratulations card.

Here is my card:

My colour palette for this card is Soft Sky, Daffodil Delight & Whisper White, which was inspired by this weeks Just Add Ink #384 Inspiration challenge.

I have used the Soft Sky patterned piece from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper for the banner, and a little Soft Sky Classic Weave Ribbon to run down the centre.

The adorable soft toys (from the Moon Baby stamp set) have been coloured using alcohol markers (I used my retired Blendabilities, however you can now get your hands on the new Blends alcohol markers). My sentiment comes from the Floral Phrases stamp set.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

  1. So so cute Kirsten! I love all the elements to your card, but my favourite bit ... how you have used the waste from punching the banner to such great advantage. That attention to detail is fantastic! xxx

    1. Thanks so much Cheryll :) I hate to waste DSP and I'm happy the banner off-cut worked well with the design.

    1. Thanks so much Su :) The ribbon was a last minute addition as I felt the card needed a little something extra, and I'm really happy I added it.

  4. Hi, Kristen, how cute is your card? I love it. the colours are so baby, so straight away a smile goes across the face, I love the brown teddy bear, I think every boy should have a brown teddy like this one. I never thought about using the leftover of the banner once cut, how you have placed it onto the card it gives it a chevron effect as if it is never ending, I found myself looking and waiting to see if it would move. the ribbon is a totally different way of placement it works so well. A very well detailed card, just beautiful.
