Happy Anniversary | International Blog Highlights - Theme: Love

Welcome and Thanks for visiting my blog today :)

We are being highlighted internationally by Kylie Bertucci and you are able to VOTE for your favourite projects. The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop, so if you love my project, I would love you to vote for me :)

Our theme for this highlight is LOVE.

This months theme was perfect for me, as November marks my 12 year Wedding Anniversary, so I created an Anniversary card for my wonderful hubby.

My card was inspired by the flowers and colours of my wedding bouquet.

Here is my card:

Using a variety of stamp sets and dies I own, I've include one of each flower from my bouquet on my card, which include purple and white Singapore Orchids, yellow & white Roses and a white Tiger Lily.

I love to sneak in some bling where ever I can, so I added 2 strips of silver metallic washi tape to tie in with my white gold Wedding & Engagement rings.

Creating the Singapore Orchids required some modification of the orchid builder dies as the original die cut petals were too wide for a Singapore Orchid, so I had to thin them out a little. I've also curled the petals using my bone folder before assembling the pieces.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)
If you enjoy what I do, I would love you to Like and Follow my Facebook page, and Pin my cards on Pinterest (or you can follow me on Pinterest).

  1. What a pretty card! Happy Anniversary too!

  2. Congratulations on your Twelfth Wedding anniversary Kirsten. You have made the Singapore orchids look gorgeous. I personally have no idea from one Orchid from another I do apologize for this. Using three forms of flowers, it works, WoW this would not have entered my mind. Congratulations, this was a big step out of the that comfy square.

Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment. You have made my day :)
