Lift Me Up Birthday | Colour INKspiration #12 #CI12

Today I am sharing a set of cards I created for the latest Colour INKspiration CI12 Colour Challenge.

For this weeks challenge you can choose to use 4 or more colours from the above image.

I needed to make a few masculine birthday cards, so I decided the five colours I would use were: Whisper White, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Dapper Denim & Smoky Slate.

Here are my cards:

I used both the Lift Me Up stamp set and matching Up & Away Thinlits for my cards. The balloons are stamped in Cherry Cobbler & Smoky Slate and my sentiment comes from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set, which is also stamped in Smoky Slate.

I cut out some balloons and clouds from the thinlits set in scrap paper and used them as masks when I sponged my background sky using Dapper Denim and a sponge dauber.

Using one of the squares from the Stitched Shapes Framelits, I added a little Night of Navy cardstock to peek out either side of my stamped layer.
