Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop | Theme: New 2019-20 Annual Catalogue

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Design Team Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects created with products in the new 2019-20 Annual Catalogue. The full line up below will guide you through all the projects.

For my new 2019-20 Annual Catalogue sneak peek, I have used the gorgeous Free as a Bird Bundle which includes the Free as a Bird Stamp Set and the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.

The layout for my card today was inspired by the latest Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #389

I have also entered my card in the latest Stampin' Up! Only Challenges #SUOC223: It’s Spring! Challenge along with the latest Stamp Ink Paper #200 Designers Choice Challenge - as the Free As A Bird set is definitely a new favourite and I've used my favourite colour..... blue :)

The images in my card come from the Free As A Bird stamp set (available in the new 2019-20 Annual Catalogue from 4th June 2019) and were stamped in Memento Black ink on to some Whisper White cardstock.

The birds were cut out using a circle from the Layering Circles Framelits and then coloured using my Stampin' Blends. The colours I used were: Balmy Blue (Dark & Light), Call Me Clover (Dark & Light), Night of Navy (Light), Pineapple Punch (Dark), Pool Party (Light) and Soft Suede (Dark & Light). The leaves were also coloured using Blends and then fussy cut with scissors.

My sentiment also comes from the Free As A Bird stamp set and is stamped in Blueberry Bushel ink on to some Whisper White card stock. I have cut out the sentiment using one of the new Stitched Nested Label Dies. The size I wanted to use wasn't quite long enough for the sentiment, so I partially cut it and then moved the die and partially cut the remainder (so I have a longer label than the standard die). I added some linen thread under my sentiment before adhering it to my card front with some Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

I really love the clean and simple look of this card and I feel my colour palette, that I was originally really struggling with, worked out really well. I am super happy with how this card turned out and I hope you like it too :)
