Springtime Impressions Birthday Butterfly | Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Challenge #028

Hi and thanks for visiting :)

Today marks the start of our latest fortnightly challenge over on the Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up! Facebook Group.

Our latest challenge #AWLSU028 is a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.
Where you choose any 3 squares in a row (vertically, horizontally or diagonally) for your inspiration.

Myself and the other group admins will share our creations to start off each challenge and hopefully help kick-start and inspire your creativity.

My card fits in with the current Creative with Stamps #37 Birthday Challenge.

I started with the diagonal combination of Brights, Butterfly & Birthday, and then I decided to add elements from the bottom row as well: Brights, Banner & Bling.

My butterfly was cut out from some Whisper White cardstock with the butterfly from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits. I then sponged a rainbow using sponge daubers. The colours used in my rainbow can be seen in the picture below.

I also sponged around the edges of my Whisper White Thick cardstock base, before adding a Whisper White layer.

The sentiment comes from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and was Silver heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock and 1 edge was trimmed using the Triple Banner punch.

To finish off I added some Silver Metallic thread under my butterfly and popped on a few randomly placed Silver Metallic Pearls.
