International Highlights Winners Blog Hop | Theme: Love

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special International Blog Hop for the winners of Kylie Bertucci's November International Blog Highlight. Our theme for this highlight was Love.

Anyone and everyone was able to vote for their favourite cards and based on the total votes received, the top 10 winners were announced and I came in 8th - YAY :) A big THANKYOU to all those who voted for my Anniversary card.

Click here to check out the Anniversary card I entered, celebrating my 12 year Wedding Anniversary.

All 10 winners were invited to participate in this special International Highlight Blog Hop. Our theme for this hop is also Love.

My latest Love themed card was created with celebrating a Wedding in mind, but by using the sentiment I have, it could also be used for celebrating another happy occasion.

Here is my card:

I started off my card by using the Detailed Floral framelits on an ombre Crushed Curry sheet from the Color Theory Designer Series Paper stack. This was adhered to my Whisper White Thick card base.

I then cut a sheet of vellum the same size as my die cut piece and adhered it using a few tiny drops of multipurpose liquid glue. These tiny drops were hidden by some gold sequins and my sentiment.

Next I used 2 different gold rolls from the Year of Cheer Specialty washi tape pack to create the stripe underneath my sentiment.

The sentiment is from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and is gold heat embossed on Whisper White card stock and cut out using an oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits set.

Lastly I attached some metallic gold thread to the back of my oval using a little snail, and then adhered it to my card using some dimensionals.

Thanks so much for your support and for visiting me today :)

    1. Thanks so much Vicky. This was the first time I've used this die, even though I've had it a while - not sure why I waited so long :)

  3. What an honor for you to be voted into the top ten to participate in Kylie's blog hop. The votes were well deserved. Your card is lovely and I can see a lot of thought went into it. I have you bookmarked to revisit.

  4. Doesn't gold just shout love for some reason! I really like the way you put the vellum on top of the cardstock. It gives it such a softer look. Beautiful card.
