Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest - Shannon Lane

The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Shannon's cards.

Here are my versions:

Flower coloured with Sweet Sugarplum & Peekaboo Peach inks using sponge daubers

The first version I created, I coloured my flower using the emboss resist technique and sponge daubers. I decided to create 2 more cards trying out the colouring using blender pens instead to see how that would change the look of the flowers. The flowers coloured with the blender pen, I feel have a softer look to them.

I am a bit of a Washi Tape collector and always have difficultly in finding ways to use it on my cards. Well, I have used heaps on my cards and I really love how they turned out. I think I'll be using this layout in the future to help reduce my significant washi collection.

To add some bling like in Shannon's cards, I have used some Gold thread and sequins on my Sweet Sugarplum cards and Silver thread and sequins on my Flirty Flamingo card.

I fell in love with this card the moment I saw it. I really love how Valerie has used the different sized white circles to create her soft and subtle background. To checkout Valerie's card in more detail click here.

I too have used different sized circles from the Stitched Shapes framelits to create my background, however I have gone for a super bright and fun theme.

Here is my version:

My colour combination was inspired by the Festive Birthday Designer Series Paper and consists of Crushed Curry, Emerald Envy, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise & Whisper White.

There is zero stamping on my card. I have just used coloured cardstock and framelits from the Stars, Stitched Shapes and Mini Treat Bag die sets.

My star has been attached using dimensionals to make it pop off the card.

A super fun and bright, any occasion card. I hope you like it :)
