Global Design Project #57 Colour Challenge & CAS(E) this sketch #193 Challenge

Today's creations have been inspired by 2 different challenges, a colour challenge and a sketch challenge. These kinds of challenges are perfect when you are having a little "creative block" or perhaps have too many ideas and you don't know where to start.

My colour combination comes from this weeks Global Design Project #57 | Colour Challenge

...... and my layout is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this sketch #193 Challenge

Here are my creations:

For my card bases I have used Mint Macaron cardstock and my flowers are cut from Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry & Whisper White cardstock using the Botanical Builder framelits.

The striped Mint Macaron & White strip on my cards is from the 2015-2017 In Colour envelope paper pack, which is currently available at 60% off in the Clearance Rack (only while stocks last, so click here to grab yours now before it is gone).

My sentiments are heat embossed in white and come from the Butterfly Basics & Rose Wonder stamp sets.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest - Julie Davison

Welcome and thank you for joining me in a special Crazy Crafters team blog hop.

We are hopping with a special guest - The amazing Julie Davison.

The theme of this blog hop was to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Julie's cards.

Here is the card of Julie's that I chose to CASE:

I really liked the layout and the two colour die cut image in Julie's card.

Here are my versions:

For my cards I also went with 2 colour die cuts, but instead of using a die cut with a different coloured cardstock underneath, I inlaid the cut outs in a different colour.

For my flowers I have used Daffodil Delight & Crushed Curry and just ran each colour through the big shot using the flower die from the May Flowers framelits and then swapped the loose bits over to have 2 different colours. I did the same for the leaves using Garden Green & Wild Wasabi.

I glued all the pieces down on to a light weight piece of card stock and then fussy cut them out once dry, as I wasn't sure what my layout was going to be at the time. I then adhered them to a square cut from Basic Black cardstock with Snail adhesive.

I chose the same colour cardstock for my card base as the flower outline die cut and then stamped my sentiment (from Butterfly Basics) in the same colour ink on Whisper White.
