Merry Christmas everyone :)
Just a quick post today to share a pretty silver & white Christmas card.
A recent request to make some custom Christmas cards, included a card similar to one shown in the Holiday Catalogue on page 36 using items from the Year of Cheer suite.
The request was to make something similar to the portrait "JOY" card in the centre of the above image.
Unfortunately I don't have any items from this suite (except the metallic washi), so I ended up having to improvise and needed to break out a few of my retired Stampin' Up! goodies.
As I am caseing the Holiday catty, I have included my card in this weeks Caseing The Catty #159 challenge.
Here is what I came up with:
I have used part of a larger sentiment stamp for the "JOY" which comes from the retired "Season of Joy" set. The sentiment is heat embossed in Silver and then cut out using a banner framelit.
The silver ring underneath was made using 2 circles from the layering circles framelits set, on some silver toothpaste packaging (who else keeps pretty packaging for use on cards?).
The background is made using a strip of retired Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum, and I've added some of the Silver metallic washi tape to help adhere the edges of the vellum.
My customer was thrilled with what I came up with. Hope you like it too :)
