Tis the Season | Merry Patterns

I am sharing a Christmas card that was inspired by a colour challenge from Colour INKspiration and a sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches.

Here is my card:

CAS (Clean & Simple) cards are quite tricky for me as I often find it hard when to know to stop. However I really like the cleanness of this card...and I even got to throw in some bling :)

I have used the Merry Patterns stamp set for my card, which is sadly retired as it was a limited edition host promotion stamp set. However there are a number of stamp sets/images that could be used in place of these images.

My card base is Whisper White with a Sahara Sand layer. I have white heat embossed the pine leaf image from the Merry Patterns stamp set on to my Sahara Sand layer.

I have also used the Merry Patterns stamp set for my sentiment, which was been stamped in Soft Suede and Marina Mist on to some Whisper White and then cut out using the large oval from the Stitched Shapes framelits. I've backed this with a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals framelits.

Lastly I added 3 silver sequins, one of each of the 3 sizes from the Metallics Sequin Assortment.

I really like how this card turned out and I think I will be recreating this, trying out some other colour combinations. I'd love to hear what you think :)
